Drawing Contest (closed)

To generate some interest in our project I decided to run a little drawing contest. The task was to design a paint scheme for our plane. I therefore asked everybody interested in participating to download the picture of the Sportcruiser (PDF file, just click on the picture), to print it, to paint the plane on it with a nice paint scheme in whatever technique they like, and to send it back to me either by mail to the address on the sheet or by email after scanning it.

I specified that there was no guarantee that the plane would be painted in the paint scheme of the winner, as first of all this will be a decision taken together with my co-builder Rolf and as we will have to take some constraints into consideration, like legal issues, visibility, practicability and cost.

Of course there had to be some nice prices worth the effort, and of course they had to be related to the project.

The grand first price was therefore:

A flight with the SportCruiser, piloted by me, from Lommis (LSZT) to Samedan (LSZS) and back (approximately two hours total flying time), including lunch at the Samedan Airport Restaurant.

Second and third price were shorter sightseeing flights, again with the SportCruiser and piloted by me, from Lommis (LSZT).

The following terms applied:

  1. It is purely my decision to select a winner as well as second and third place
  2. There is no legal (or illegal) way to challenge my selection
  3. Family members and friends are allowed to participate (who else would anyway)
  4. There is no guarantee that the plane will be painted in the paint scheme of the winner
  5. The price can only be claimed if the plane is ever finished, certified and can be legally operated with a passenger onboard, and if there are no other legal issues preventing this
  6. Entries must be received before the first flight of the plane (hopefully sometime in late 2008)
  7. Multiple entries per person are allowed, as long as they contain significantly different paint schemes
  8. I will publish the entries on this website, so they must be free of any copyrights

And the winners are:

The winner of the first price is: Jankó

The second place goes to: Tünde

And the third one goes to: Mélanie

Congratulations to the winners!
